From the Principal
Feb. 3, 2012
Dear Mast Landing Families,
Where did the month of January go? We are flying into February, our shortest
month. It is now light when I drive home after school and we are heading toward
spring, but at Mast Landing we are still hoping for more winter. We had one excellent
week of snowshoeing and sledding but these activities are now on hold until we get
more snow. It’s time for one of Mr. T’s famous snow dances!
I wanted to let you know that children should not be bringing toys to school. Of
course, if a child gets special permission from a teacher to bring in something from
home that is fine. But as a general rule, it is not okay. The newest craze is the
Beyblade. Some students have been bringing them from home, trading them and even
selling them. This is not acceptable and we have told the students this. We are asking
for your help on the home front. Please make sure your children’s backpacks are filled
with the things they need for school (such as their planners, homework, lunch and
sneakers if they have PE) and that they do not contain toys. Thank you.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Yours truly,
Beth Willhoite
